Welcome to the Fairy Family. Within the pages of this site you'll see over 30 individually designed fairy figurines, with hand painted features, and decorated in a wonderful range of silks, satins, nylon, and cotton. Many are finished with beads, sequins and lots of sparkle, and each one has been lovingly put together by hand.
Every member of the Fairy Family is flexible- you can bend their arms and legs, so they can sit on shelves, or wave at you from houseplants. They're all supplied with a fine golden loop from which they can be suspended, and sparkle as they gently rotate. |
| The Fairy Family are designed and produced in Thailand. Every model is put together by hand, with features painted individually so subtle differences are often visible. One of the objectives of the production company is to help alleviate poverty in rural areas by setting up local production centres away from towns, and encouraging women to work from home while looking after their families. This brings in a valuable second income where it's most needed.
In addition, the company pays a percentage of annual profits to a central government managed fund which is used to build amenities in rural villages- medical centres, schools, meeting houses, etc.
The Fairy Family make wonderful, unusual presents, perfect home decorations, and are ideal for the Christmas tree! Please note that they are offered for sale as decorations, not toys, and due to their handmade nature are not intended as children's playthings.
